The PT-LS8 thermometer has an extra-long 8" stem and features an IPX7 waterproof rating. Due to the ABS plastic with BioCote®, this product is food safe.

This product is also safe for commercial dishwashers as it can record the maximum temperature as it is run through the dishwasher. It can be immersed in over three feet of water for up to 30 minutes. It provides accurate temperature readings with a fast 6-second response time.
