Scigiene's Microbial Vacuum Manifolds are suitable for microbiological testing of purified water and water for injection, and are specially designed for testing microbial limits, and are often used in the field of Disease control, Food, Pharmaceutical, Chemical industry, etc. 

These manifolds work with our diaphragm vacuum pump and 3L vacuum flask for liquid collection. The Regulating valve of the receiving bottle can shut off the water/air flow or work as a shut off valve. The control valve on the manifold allows shiur of each manifold or individual throttling of the manifold flow. 

During the test, the test solution is filtered through a replaceable filter funnel membrane, and the microorganisms in the test solution are trapped on the filter membrane, The filter membrane is then removed from the funnel and placed on a MicroFast Premium plate to form macroscopic colonies and counted to detect the number of bacteria contained in the test sample.

We have several options here. Besides 1, 3 and 6 position manifolds we also offer manifold’s that accept replaceable sterile filter / funnel assemblies (3 pack). 

For the sterilized funnels, the membrane filter is included in the funnel. The membrane filter is MCE or PVDF with 0.22um or 0.45um. The funnel capacity is 100ml or 200ml.  Please see available options under Optional Accessories.

The sterile filter funnels and the manifold form a complete membrane filtration unit.
