The Hops Cone Sensor due to its unique design crushes and compresses the hops cones to allow for highly repeatable and accurate readings that is not possible with other sensor types.  Moisture trapped in the Hops cone leads to incorrect readings with other sensor types.  The Humimeter Hops Cone Sensor solves this.  The Second major issue is that the alpha acid content in hops will cause most moisture sensors to misread.  The Humimeter FLH has custom calibration curves to match the hops alpha acid content for even greater accuracy.  If you are not using the FLH meter and Cone Sensor for hops cones you are likely getting the wrong results.
