This dipslide features two different agars (prepared culture medium). It has Pseudomonas Agar on one side and MacConkey 3 Agar on the other side. This dipslide will test for pseudomonas on one side and coliforms on the other side.

MacConkey 3 Agar - This agar detects coliforms. Coliforms are an indicator organism for hygiene levels and this agar is utilized in a variety of testing applications.

Simply remove the dipslide and immerse in (or press against) the sample for approx. 10 seconds. Remove dipslide and allow to drain (if necessary) for a few seconds, then replace the slide back into the tube and incubate for a minimum of 24 hours (up to a maximum of 48 hours).
