The Electronic TC489 Timestrip Complete is a temperature indicator for the range 2ºC to 8ºC (36ºF to 46ºF). It uses a set of three LEDs to provide a clear, non-reversible indication of upper and lower temperature breaches as well as normal operation. It contains NFC technology so users can scan with their smartphone for more information.

Compared to data loggers

Temperature sensitive data loggers are expensive equipment. They typically need software and training to use. Data loggers are for when you need continuous up to minute data along the cold chain. Electronic Timestrip Complete TC489 offers you the option of a download of auditable data. However, unlike some data loggers you only need a smart phone.

How to use

1. To activate, break the ‘Break to Start’ tab. The green LED will flash 5 times. The device starts to measure after 30 minutes (start delay). During start delay, green and red LED flash once every 30 seconds. Place indicator with goods to be monitored.
2. After the 30-minute start delay, the device enters normal measuring status. The green LED indicator flashes once every 30 seconds. Press read button to view device status on demand.
3. Alarm: When the temperature exceeds the upper temperature limit for over 30 minutes (alarm delay), the red LED flashes at an interval of 30 seconds. When the temperature drops below the lower temperature limit for more than 30 minutes (alarm delay), the blue LED flashes at an interval of 30 seconds.
4. To stop the device break the triangle ‘Break to Stop’ tab.
5. Data can be viewed on NFC enabled phones via the eTimestrip app.
